Asynchronous provisioning using SAML2 AttributeQuery

Tel-Aviv University

In this talk the results of a recent research project about asynchronous provisioning using SAML2 AttributeQuery in education environments will be presented. Traditional on-the-fly provisioning mechanisms require the user to log in on the application to give it his attributes. This is good for keeping the information up to date but sometimes we don't want to wait for such login to have that information available in the application. This is the problem our research focus in and SAML2 AttributeQuery is the technology we have used to solve it. Finally, a small demo using SimpleSAMLphp and our plugin will be shown.
